Creative Repurpose: Coffee Maker As Multipurpose Cooking Machine

Caught this via Lifehacker today: the DIY site geekosystem shows us 10 ways to repurpose your coffee maker to cook everything from oatmeal to rice to soft-boiled eggs.  Personally, I’m a french press guy, but I’m intrigued.  As Lifehacker’s post implies, the oatmeal method seems to have the most crossover potential.  It might be tough to get people to drink coffee out of their fish cake maker.
